Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation is a top ranked national mortgage lender with thousands of employees and offices across the United States. Built on values like speed, service, and community, Fairway fosters a strong internal culture and places a high emphasis on supporting its team through moments both big and small.

The Challenge

Every year, Fairway Mortgage brings its nationwide team together for a company wide event. For AM25, the twenty fifth anniversary of the Annual Meeting, the stakes were higher than ever. With more than 1500 employees attending in person, Fairway wanted to create a branded retail store experience that felt thoughtful, polished, and completely custom.

They needed a partner who could handle everything from store layout and product design to inventory planning, signage, payment processing, and real time support. The goal was to make the experience seamless for attendees and hands off for the internal team.

The Solution

Fairway partnered with Avail to bring the AM25 store to life as a true retail experience, not just a merch table.

Collaborative event planning
We worked closely with Fairway’s internal events team to plan every detail of the store experience. From layout and staffing to inventory forecasting and creative direction, our team was hands on from day one.

On site build and layout execution
Before the event kicked off, our team arrived early to build out the full physical footprint of the store. That included installing fixtures like shelves, racks, tables, and signage. We created clear traffic flows, added mirrors and changing spaces, and made sure everything felt polished and intuitive.

Custom product design and curation
Our creative team designed a full AM25 collection of branded apparel, drinkware, accessories, and keepsakes. Every item was selected to resonate with Fairway’s culture and appeal to a wide range of employees.

Real time sales and inventory management
We set up a Square point of sale system to process credit card transactions, manage refunds and exchanges, and track inventory as it moved. This gave Fairway full visibility during the event and allowed us to respond quickly to product demand in real time.

Same day pop up support
When the CMO requested a new product mid event, we quickly created a pop up order station where employees could purchase the item on site for delivery after the event. This allowed us to meet the moment without disrupting the flow.

On site shipping station
For employees who preferred not to carry their purchases, we offered shipping support directly from the venue. This gave attendees flexibility and helped reduce post event lost items and forgotten bags.

By combining strong planning, live support, and flexible execution, we helped Fairway deliver a store experience that felt personal, on brand, and well run at every turn.

The Results

What started as a swag table became a full scale branded retail experience.

Key outcomes:

  • Over 1500 employees shopped in person
  • One hundred thousand dollars in sales processed during the event
  • Full setup and breakdown managed by Avail
  • All leftover inventory counted and restocked into Fairway’s online store
  • Post event report delivered with insights for next year’s improvements

From concept to clean up, Avail created a store experience that matched the energy of AM25 and gave employees something to talk about long after the event ended.
